The 2020 Barcelona Marathon and its amazing landmarks
Runners, heads up! the 2020 Barcelona Marathon has arrived one more year, don’t miss the opportunity to run in one of the most attractive and most traditional marathons from all the world. This year marks the 42nd edition and it’s expected to surpass the 20.000 runners, around 45% of them foreigners.
So what makes Barcelona Marathon so attractive? well, besides it’s a flat and fast circuit and the pleasant weather expected to be in March, the fact that runners will be pasing by amazing landmarks of the city like Casa Batlló, Sagrada Familia, the beaches or Montjuic.
Imagine yourself running in such a beautiful environment, sorrounded by culture, historic buildings, going down the olympic village and seeing the Stadium while remembering such a remarkable moment for the city, the 1992 Olympic Games.
The Barcelona Marathon is a pleasant and smooth race chosen by lots of international runners when planning their marathon yearly calendar. There are not many places where you can do some sightseeing while running or having such beautiful views while sweating off your shirt.
The race starts at 8:30 and finishes 6 hours later so you have plenty of time to complete it. No matter what your goal is or if you are a fast runner or prefer to take it as a slow path, you are all welcome when it comes to run around beautiful Barcelona.
You have to be a minimum of 18 to run and there’s no limit of maximum age.
It’s finish line it’s also amazing, located at Plaza España, just by the magic fountains of Montjuic, a great place to chill and relax after an exhausting race.
