Kids Discover Rome – Colosseum and Roman Highlights

Rome wasn’t built in a day. However, it is possible to see the main highlights in one day! Join us on our Kids Discover Rome Private Experience and explore Rome at your own pace! With the help of a local child friendly guide, you’ll be discovering Rome in no time! Enjoy the comfort of an air-conditioned vehicle and don’t worry about keeping your children entertained: leave that to us!
The best way to discover a new city is with a local professional guide. That’s why we believe that only the best should accompany you on this journey, making sure that you leave with great memories! With the help of visual aids and overlay books, our guides will make the stories come to life. First off, the Colosseum. Take advantage of our Skip the Line entrance and start discovering what was once the most significant arena of the Ancient World. Follow your guide to the arena, and feel like a gladiator. Try to imagine the tiers of the Colosseum filled with people, cheering the gladiators during their battles! Once outside of the Colosseum your private driver will take you on a spin around the Aventine Hill, passing in front of the Bocca della Verità, a massive marble mask that is said to be the home to a monster who will chew your hand off if you lie. No doubt your children have fun pranking you!
From this point your driver will drive you to Trevi Fountain, the main set of Fellini’s movie La Dolce Vita, and one of the last fountains that bring water to the city through an ancient aqueduct. Don’t forget to toss a coin in the fountain: one to come back to Rome, two to come back and find true love, and three to come back and stay! Your tour continues,  and while your guide delights you with the various stories and urban legends, try to imagine how the city looked like centuries ago. You’ll arrive at Piazza Rotonda, where you’ll stop in front of the Pantheon, the temple in honor of all the Gods, and one of the most interesting buildings due to the fact that the height of the oculus and the diameter of the interior circle is the same, 43 meter (approximately 142 ft).
Follow your guide through the narrow streets of Rome, while exploring the different buildings that decorate the city, representing the overlaying of different artistic currents and periods. Your next and final stop is Piazza Navona. Built on top of what was once the Stadium of Emperor Domitian, Piazza Navona takes its name from the Italian word nave (ship), due to the 18th century tradition of filling the square with water and hosting battleships, and is the home to Bernini’s Fountain of the Four Rivers, as well as his rival’s, Bramante, Sant’ Agnese in Agone church. Because we want you to make the most of your Roman stay, we offer the possibility of extending and tailoring the tour just for you!
